This feels like marketing disguised as criticism.
It is starting to feel like Meta is actively catering to the contrarian douche market, like the idiots who bought Cybertrucks. This also increases the likelihood of creep shots because there is bound to be a lot of overlap there.
They're supplying a demand for profit. Without strong laws to stop them, they'll keep doing it. Such is capitalism.
I think one of the best ways to fight them is to continue to stigmatize the pervert glasses. Call out and socially isolate anyone in your circle who wears them, or even mentions being curious about them, all excuses aside.
its already being used by creeps. doctors/dentist are doing it while with a patient.
they need to be reported to their boards and lose their licenses, that shit is insane.
