I think that if we want to be free from google and apple duopoly on mobile we need to embrace linux phones. It is the only solution. Google is trying to close the golden cage slowly and we need to escape on other operating system also on mobile. We re only delay a problem. We need phone preinstalled with linux for mass adoption. We need more apps for linux phones and more userbase.

The obstacle is not technical, nor marketing or adoption.

The obstacle is the complete lock-down of LTE and 5G. If your radio isn't certified, it doesn't matter what os you're running.
