I'm Salvadoran, and my family never had those
i've never been a fan of tacos styles further south of veracruz because of the reduced levels of salt and fat and i've always wondered if the inverse -- pupusa's from the north -- suffer from the same close-but-no-cigar qualities that i get from tacos.
