I get that some people have business waiting at the pickup and wanting to look professional, but why everybody else?

Look good feel good, switch to the PJs in business class...

Hell yeah. Too many people sleep on the socks from the business class amenities bag too. Put those on, then at the end of your nine hour flight putting your socks back on is like a fresh pair.
