Airbus has a factory in alabama too. Every company that builds factories in the us builds them in suburban parts of the worst states to keep their costs down and their workforce from unionizing. No large company, american or not, is above that.

Toyota is similar. Of their 15 North American factories, two are in Ontario, two are in Mexico, two are in California, and the remaining ten are all in us states that are republican strongholds.

Hyundai's north american factories are in georgia and alabama. Kia's two american factories are in georgia. Honda is ohio, alabama, both carolona, indiana, and georgia. VW is tennessee, texas, alabama, and oklahoma. This is every one of them.

Every single automaker I checked does most of their North American manufacturing not just primarily in the us, but specifically in the states that support those making threats against Canadian sovereignty.

The only solution as a car buyer would be to only buy those that are banned in the states. Or maybe not even that. BYD does have one american factory making busses. It in California, one of the less bad parts so there's that at least.

Edit: some production is starting in Kentucky.

And a lot of Fords are built in Canada, and a lot of parts in whatever car from elsewhere in the US. It's kind of an ABUSA edge case.
