It moved to Sci-Fi I think after season 3, so by then they really couldn’t.

Stargate Universe was also Sci-Fi, but they seemed to have no problems depicting sex in that show. Looking at the other titles on that network's list of programs, there was definitely plenty of sex on that network. I mean, that network had Lexx.

Zelenka also uses Czech phrases that often involve vulgar words that effectively translate to "shit". A Russian soldier in "The Tomb" also says something that the subtitles translate to "holy shit".
