Work Reform

A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

You have been lost to right wing propaganda. That is exactly what they want you to believe, so you stop believing in a way out. So why not just keep the status quo with oligarchs using all of our resources and destroying our planet?
"Humans are bad and have always been bad" is not only factually wrong, it is a belief which only serves one political purpose.
Meh. So you're choosing to evaluate a claim not based on whether or not it is true, but whether or not it supports political change. Fine.
What I'm directly attacking is the "Myth of Progress", a hangover from Christianity, the idea that we are inexorably progressing to a materially perfect future. When Obama quotes MLK, "The arc history is long, but it bends towards justice," that is what he is talking about. If he just wait it out, all our problems will be solved. So believing in progress can potentially be as debilitating as not believing in progress.
For my part, I think change is possible, but I do not need the motivation of heaven on earth to motivate me. There will always be a struggle to share power and resources in a society, no matter what the system.
