It's by intention. I noticed that right wingers don't really talk about the economic equality but instead focus on culture wars.

That's why they came up with the culture wars in the first place.

It's cheaper than fixing a real problem, and much easier to sell.

You can literally have TWO right-wing parties entirely in agreement with right-wing policies on those things which have the most impact in the lives of pretty much everybody out there, which play-act politics with culture wars with one of them claiming to be "leftwing" because they're supposedly pro-equality in moral terms (but never, ever, EVER socially or economically)

If you're American (and nowadays, also from most countries in Europe), this description probably sounds very familiar ...

Culture war is free, while economic reforms that would benefit people are not

(meaning it would leave less money in their billionaire owners & their friends’ pockets)
