UHD Blu-rays go up to 100GB so that covers many games, for more than that it'd have to be a digital download I guess
The PlayStation 3 was the first console to use (standard) Blu-rays, 20 years ago :) some people argued it was cheaper than dedicated BD players, many used it to watch movies.
We used to deal with games that came as multiple discs. We can do that again, if we have to.
But, I would personally rather see DRM-free digital downloads for many reasons.
That's just triple layer. Quad layer goes up to 128GB.
It would also seem people have forgotten the Installation disc that was common towards the end of the 360 era. The PS3 already copied the whole Blu-ray to storage with the only real difference being it was quicker to copy physical than to rely on PSN's awful bandwidth. A lot of people still have crappy imternet so it makes no sense to take away the option to wait a day for a box with 2 discs to arrive.
