Duh. That's the point of all this nonsense. Or did people think that those "mass deportation now" signs were just a a joke?

Or that a complete jerkoff like Stephen Miller who has hated immigrants since he was practically a zygote was going to only get the "bad" ones?

Also, once they cannot find enough foreigners, it's not like ICE is going to just disband or anything.

People keep telling me it’s overly dramatic but I’m going to keep calling this campaign an ethnic cleansing until proven otherwise.

Not only is that the effect of what is happening it is the stated intent. Whether they succeed or not, an ethnic cleansing is what they are trying to do and its what their voters wanted.

The path to ~~fascism~~ concentration camps is paved with people telling you you're overreacting

It's probably the same gaslighting douchebags that were saying overturning Roe v Wade was "just" reverting the decision to the states and that calling them Gilead States was just overreacting and being hysterical, etc.

That’s the point of all this nonsense.

It makes the racists cheer and keep voting for those idiots, so they can keep up the grift. The stories about only targeting the "bad ones" was never more than a fig leaf until the discussion has moved so far to right-wing extremism (or censorship and persecution of diverging opinions is established well enough) that they can drop the act.
