Finally got around to watching “Awake” — a one season series starring Jason Isaacs that aired a few years ago. I can see why it was canceled.
It’s a brilliant concept with a good cast, but after the first two strong episodes, the writing goes off a cliff. What a waste. There was a particularly bad storyline where the main character’s son is just about killed by his police partner. But everyone acts like everything’s hunky dory by the end of the episode and they continue working together like nothing ever happened.
I remember that show. I also really liked the concept, but lost interest a few episodes in. Can't exactly remember why. Someone should definitely try improving upon that story idea.
