Pokémon is a Japanese media franchise consisting of video games, animated series and films, a trading card game, and other related media. The franchise takes place in a shared universe in which humans co-exist with creatures known as Pokémon, a large variety of species endowed with special powers. The franchise's primary target audience is children aged 5 to 12, but it is known to attract people of all ages.
If I recall correctly, the original one required you to do that specific thing on Cinnabar Island to clone the first item on your list. The second one just required you to move Pokémon between boxes holding items. I did it for gimmick reasons a couple of times but I could enjoy the game without using glitches lots easier.
gold and silver, you force shutdown the game while saving, and that clones it. crystal fixed the bug. useful as it was the first gen to introduce shinies, and you want to endlessly clone masterballs.
