Of not, please point me towards the right community to ask.

The movie in question must be from 80's. The story revolves around dog fighting rings. There is a young girl who has a doberman that is a put to fight and reveals itself as champion but the girl doesn't want him to fight and eventually die. The movie ends with the girl rescuing the dog.
