Yes ~~the Europeans have never trusted communists~~ that was wrong. I agree that the political representation and activity of communist parties in larger Europe is most likely low, as it is in Finland (especially in rural areas, such as mine). I wouldn't extrapolate the same attitudes to Russia, where the local party seems to still be the second largest in the country. The CPC has nearly a hundred million members. I wouldn't call those "dead".

Elaborate on this, please. Broad, sweeping statements such as mine can be extremely erroneous. I know that Finland's welfare capitalism has been described and sold to its recepients as "socialism" when it was just imperial spoils extracted from the global south.

Italy had one of the largest Communist parties in Europe until the dissolution of the Soviet Union. It's not like people have some natural inborn aversion to communist parties. The whole imperial spoils just being extracted from the global south is partially why people lost faith in the original Communist parties in the 1960s.

I'm not an expert on Italian history.

Ah heck. Thanks, I just realized how that whole "the Europeans" sentence is just wrong, and kinda shitty way of thinking abou the whole issue. Should really stop and think before voicing every thought, huh?

I mean I wasn't offended by what you said. Europeans do suck for what they did, and it's not like people in Europe didn't extract a bunch of wealth or that we haven't built an economic system that is ruining the whole planet and proceeded to export it around the world. You're aloud to voice whatever thoughts you have.
