MODERATORS
Intercourse, PA didn't make the list. Blue Ball is nearby, but I would swear I heard it was plural at one point.
I don't know about your Blue Ball, but I grew up by a different one (called Blue Ball), and other superficially similar town names. I was told they were from the roadhouse days. Something like there was an inn at that junction that had a blue ball on the sign. The junctions became towns. Most are gone, now, but sometimes live on in road names. It's interesting to think about what the significance of "blue ball" may have been 200+ years ago. Perhaps similar haha. Traveling can be hard.
