Bummer. At least you can still get the parts for cheap though, and the job is easy too.

Imagine the damage to their car, they may not be as lucky as you, hopefully. The damage likely will cost them more than it will cost you, at least.

I would wager given that older cars are built like a conrete brick that it did fuck em up a bit.

It'll only cost them more if they have it repaired, plenty of people don't.
