MODERATORS
I enjoy technology and automation. If I can make it slightly easier to do something, I might want to do it. It's not too far fetched to also imagine adding a door unlatcher and door opener/closer in my future, which would remove the need to use my hands at all.
That part would be useful, like how with a mini van you can trigger the sliding door with your foot from the outside.
I guess i don't see the return on investment or fun in replacing a standard front door with an electrically actuated one for myself, but if that is your hobby, more power to you!
