yes, it sounds simple because it's simple at a high level view; but i can understand how the strategies to distract people are varied and come from multiple sources.
i'm marveling that people are unable to see the impact that these distractions have and boggle to understand why they can't see that any of it is intentional.
the real marvel is how long they've been using the same think of the kids ass tactics and it still works after decades.
