I’ve been using OsmAnd (uses OpenStreetMaps) on my iPhone and it’s been pretty great. Uninstalled Apple Maps so I don’t have to deal with this bullshit.
I’m always for more OSM usage especially as a (casual) OSM mapper but you’re a rube.

Why are they a rube?
Per the link in your screenshot OSM is following the standard of using the GNIS official name, while also keeping the displayed name as the common name until and if common usage on both sides of the border begins to reflect the official name in GNIS.
Note: emphasis is mine
I think you should look up the definition of "rube".
