Same here. I had second thoughts about getting 128GB of DDR5 in my new rig in 2024. Thought I was being frivolous and foolish with my money. I mean, I was, but I've now got a rig that should carry me through another 10 years
My desktop has 96gb ddr5 and 8tb of nvme, my laptop has 96gb ddr5 and 4tb nvme, my nas has 128gb ddr4 and 16 used 20tb drives that I got for $200 each, my virtualization mini pc has 64gb ddr4.... I put excessive amounts of RAM and storage even on my routers. I feel like a silo/bunker owner in a post-apocalyptic movie.
