I ised to think that zoos were completely ethical cause they provide protection from predators but then I read that story of how during the COVID lockdown those pandas that they wanted to have sex and reproduce FINALLY did it when they were away from human contact for numerous months....

So that confirms that there are probbably other species out there that can inly reproduce when theyre not in human captiivity....

There's also the case of that nearly extinct white rhinoceros that used to live in Vietnam but went practically extinct during the Vietnam War. I think that a study has pretty much confirmed that that rhinoceros actually lived longer when they were OUT of human captivity than when they were in human captivity, even with 'idieal' nutrution and protection from predators.

Theres also the case of orcas that regularly attack and kill the humans that try to feed and swim with them when in human captivity

There are probably dozens or thousands of other species out there that thrive and live better lives when they are away from humans as much as possible.
