Shame they can't rig these chat bots to trick these people into fixing themselves. Be like "Hey, let's take a shower and go outside today" or "how are your job applications going?" but I guess them getting their shit together wouldn't be good for engagement...
There was a study done about that. They set up an LLM with guardrails to gently guide climate deniers toward science. it had a relatively high rate of success in the near term.
Fun. Makes you wonder if the big AI players aren't already subtly doing this already to steer their users in other directions...
