But any file could say "FitGirl" and its not like some person or organization will vouch for them due to fear of being caught?

no she has a website you can go get the torrent from the source. yeah there are fakers but do some due diligence and youll be fine.

It is important for anyone reading this to realize two things:

If you haven’t torrented or similar since 2010, it’s different than you remember. Much more organized.
most Fortune 500 companies are more predatory and invasive than most pirate sites anymore. It’s good to be on your guard, but by and large the the communities where you find stuff self regulate really well.
