you are literally in it. that's what federation is supposed to be.
It's not as distributed as it should be imo. I do love the fediverse tho.
how could it be further distributed?
We are still gathering on servers, which are all susceptible to political action.
same as any foss project. not unlike those, new ones can always be created.
it is natural that reactionary individuals and states will eventually control a good chunk of them, since that's the hegemonic ideology.
if you know of a better, even more decentralized way to have a public forum, i would love to try it out.

It is. It's just normal some servers to have more people then others
