I believe that there’s a huge magnet of sorts in the core of earth that attracts a specific brand, BIC, to it.

The only two items that always go missing. Pens. Lighters.

Always BIC.

And reptilians live inside. The colony has survived for millions of years through ritual cannibalism. NASA found out on Apollo 17, that's why they never went back.
