Um, actually... I think the square root operation takes precedence over the division.

That's the joke they're making about the joke being made
Eh, bad math aside they're left with √=√ which is true.
And true = 1 hence √ = 1, I'm glad we figured this out!!
It's not an operation. OP is working with a field where {√, 2} is a subset of that field's elements.
In that case... carry on then!
