MODERATORS
There is no reason to cheep out on commodity pantry items. Quality flour, potatoes, rice, beans, frozen veggies, and canned goods are never going to break the budget and make a huge difference in meals.
You can afford the good flour.
Not with these tariffs :(
I was getting Caputo flour exclusively, but have had to settle for King Arthur brand this last year.
The first time I made successful filo dough, was with Caputo. The flour is so beautiful.
Poverty is a reason. You don't know what I can and can't afford. Households will obviously have to decide for themselves how they will balance quality/nutrition and price, especially in this economic climate...
I understand how good tomatos are better than bad ones, but how is good flour better? It's a question I'm not saying it isn't
Good flour can have better gluten development for baking bread! It makes for happier sourdough too
Ooh so these doughs that never got the right consistency no matter how long i worked on them could be just bad flour, huh
