I agree that it has little intrinsic value, but unless all of history and culture was erased I think it would still be regarded as a store of value.
I read an article from the Bosnia war, and someone who lived through it said the currencies were, in order of importance: lighters, batteries, ammunition, food.
Right but... Like... Is an entire country going to suddenly enter the mindset of a Bosnian prepper from the 90s? That's definitely a bigger apocalypse than we're talking about
I would think actual useful survival things are worth far more. What would you rather have after doomsday or whatever, a tonne of gold, or a lighter?
I mean, weird to keep arguing after I said I agreed for my own part. But I recognise others don't think as we do.
Why do you seem to believe that after thousands of years people would suddenly not regard gold as precious? That belief deserves to be interrogated.
