When have US military uniforms ever used that eagle? Obviously eagles are all over US symbols, but they deliberately picked one that looks as much like a nazi eagle as possible.
I have some bad news about US marksmanship badges.
To be fair, the iron cross predates nazis, but as with the swastika and Bellamy salute, they ruined a lot of shit.
So i get my knowledge from wikipedia. all the us flight badges are eagle wings on either side of a shield. or in the below case, staff.
for example these are flight surgeon wings. the new space force bullshit looks like they took they grabbed a mirror universe star trek insignia and then slapped it where the shield should go.
It looks like they’re copying the Air Force flight qual pins. It’s the same horaltic pose.
