As you accumulate hours, you don't make less mistakes, your mistakes just become bigger and more complicated.
Just turns out you improving your green circuit build caused your red build to run out of plastic which when fixed caused a shortage of sulphuric acid which crashes the blue build

Try playing multiplayer with your kid, you'll make something great only to realize all the materials are being diverted to making chests of trains.
Edit: I want to state that I love this, as frustrating as it may be. Watching a 10 year old grasp factorio and optimize in... Different... ways is really awesome. It's kind of the end run of factorio, I created a little one to do the factory.
Just think of your kid as one of those randomizer mods.
