I fully admit I fucking hate what the Israelis' are doing, and think they should be cut off and left to twist... But the middle east isn't on us, other than the fact that we continue to meddle in it.
But I'm more worried about shit happening here... We can't solve the world's problems until we fix ours first.. I have lots of empathy...for people here dying because of lack of healthcare, for victims of right-wing fascism in the US..
We can't be the world police until we fix our own house. That has to happen FIRST.
Weird to come back to this reply when the other already talks about the failures of democrats and the problems it causes locally.
If I keep reloading the school shooter's gun, the dead kids are on me too.
That's really great... that you have lots of empathy... maybe you should direct that into action and do something about the failures of democrats that cause right wing fascists to win elections.
Why the fuck do you think the US should be the world police?
You do if you think we could do anything to stop Israel from attacking / expanding into Palestine...
I don't know why the fuck we support israel the way we do... From what I've seen It's a terrorist state.. But I also am not crazy enough to think I know everything about the situation. So I'm not going to armchair quarterback.
I can see you have a pretty childish understanding of geopolitics. I think if you recontextualize the US's involvement with Israel to that of the west's settler colonial project in the middle east, the actions and defenses start to make more sense. For example you might understand that us giving them 70% of their imported munitions and defending them at the UN, while they start wars and destabilize the region isn't some confusing fluke behavior, it is how the US functions as world police.
Or to quote Biden,
Past that, your replies are getting increasingly scattered and manic, and I am not interested in engaging with this.
