There goes my weekend migrating off of DO. I should have left sooner but supporting this crap is lighting a fire under me.

Precisely because of what is described in the post.
Omarchy is an Arch-based Linux distribution created by a person with questionable political views. Many in the Linux community will go great lengths to ensure not a single penny of theirs gets into his hands.
He doesn't have "questionable" political views, unless you consider open xenophobia and fascism no more than questionable. He went beyond questionable a while ago and into being truly unpleasant and promoting harmful ideas.
perpetuating arch on society is the biggest crime
but also the racism and white supremacy
Left-of-center people hate DHH and by extension everything he does and everyone he networks with because "he's a fascist".
