Agreed.

Motorists think ANY inconvenience is an impermissible affront to their freedom. (They're like gun nuts in that way.)

Here in Kansas City we had to fight hard locally to get our streetcar and its two expansions because it would reduce some roads to one-lane for long periods of time, and drivers were more concerned with getting to their destination five minutes later than normal than tens of thousands of inner-city residents having quality transit.

It is 100% a culture war and one everyone should be fighting, even if you're a motorist.
