I made the criss cross top pattern a few years ago on my lk-150 knitting machine. I converted it to knit flat and match my gauge using knit picks cotlin.

The ribbing and cable are hand manipulated, which involves changing the orientation of stitches (purls to knits) and moving the individual stitches to different needles on the needle bed. It was pretty tricky to do the big 9x9 cable cross on the machine because it couldn't stretch the yarn across the needle distance. I ended up hand sewing shut the large holes on either side when I did the finishing.

I think it came out nice, but I don't really wear sleeveless tops. It just hangs out in my closet collecting dust. :)

Laughed out loud at that last line, idk why it's such a thing for people (including me) to knit things they'll never actually wear but it just is!

Still, it's a beautiful top, I love the drape of it especially. What kind of yarn was this?

Oh, definitely not a one time thing either. I have a bad habit of making things I won't actually wear. That top has some friends hanging in the closet with it. :)

The yarn is knit picks cotlin. It's a pretty affordable cotton and linen dk weight blend. I think it makes a nice hot weather fabric.

I had to actually set rules about what I am and am not allowed to knit (no more shawls!) and publicly commit to it on the internet. It was the only way to get myself under control ๐Ÿ˜†

That is a really good idea. I cleaned out a ton of half finished projects and donated the yarn a few months ago. I think I shamed myself into finishing some old wips for the next year while I went through my bins. But after that I need a plan.
