Why? Twist ties come free with every loaf of bread.
Every decade or so, I buy a spool of twist tie cable, with a little cutter on it. It gives me twist-ties of any length I want. It's super handy.
I gave a spool to my Father-In-Law, and you'd think it was the greatest gift he'd ever received.
They're helpful for cable management when you do need to use the cable
I wish, mine have been infested with Occlupanids
