I liked it. I had never considered the perspective of the Trojan Horse being a fundamental betrayal of theoxeny. Every other interpretation I'd seen/read seemed to focus more on the games being played between the Gods. The story makes more sense now.

Was this interpretation a fresh invention by Nolan and team? It's certainly a very neat way of tieing everything together when you got a running time to worry about.

I think the focus was fresh. In retrospect, it's an obvious interpretation given cultural context. Just never seen it presented that way. Also given cultural context, probably.
