I agree with you, but… ICE now has more officers than the FBI and a budget larger than the Marines. I guarantee they aren’t hiring for intelligence…
If shit really hit the fan I’m sure the Republicans will bring in foreign powers such as Israel to back them up militarily.
ICE is mostly filled with incompetent dipshits who’ve never seen any actual combat. You think those chuds would be that effective??
They are basically the same as Hitlers brown shirts but they have the power of the law behind them.

But my guess would be that almost every country, especially the US, is far to big to be governed by force. Spreading supply lines across a potentially hostile area of that size would be a nearly impossible task on its own... protecting all the industrial assets and natural ressources would be another.
I agree the US would be ungovernable. There are soo many critical infrastructure targets. You could cut off a region and then roll up any loyal fascist forces with hot and run attacks.
But it won’t be easy and it would be very bloody.
