Good Alternative to Procreate? (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

I know Apple isn't great and I've been using Procreate on an iPad for drawing but are there any other options that don't require me buying a computer? Ideally I could get a drawing tablet with a screen similar to the iPad.

Well I have a SteamDeck so maybe I could connect a tablet to it.

You're totally agnostic as to software, just want some kind of device that isn't a computer that has a touchscreen that you can draw with?

EDIT: Are you currently using an Apple Pencil? Like, you're wanting a stylus with pressure/tilt/whatever?

I have the Apple pencil because I like using a stylus. I was just concerned about the cost but people recommended a used laptop which would be cheaper considering the cost of ram these days. I'm not picky about software I just want to make sure companies like Apple and Google can't screw me over
