What's the most unique/different book you ever read? (lemmy.world)

I want to see what people on Lemmy are reading. Can be unique in terms of lore, concept or even the cover. Mine are invisible monsters, battle royale and horrorstor. What about yours?

My ADHD always made it really hard to read an entire book, but one of the last books I read that was cool was Goosebumps: Beware Of The Purple Peanut Butter. I loved that I could choose what to do in a book, it felt like a video game.

I loved choose-your-own-adventure novels as a kid. That's where I first learned the art of save-scumming; I'd keep my fingers at various crucial decision pages just in case I died. Then, when I was convinced I had found the "good" ending, I would trace through the entire decision tree to read every outcome. I squeezed every ounce of story out of them.

Haha skyrim was where i picked up save-scumming. But yeah lol i remember choosing the wrong path and then lifting my 'save finger' to flick all the pages back to the choice again

LMAAAAAAO. I have ADHD and thats why i love unique books. The different format makes focus because of novity.
