Yeah, I've seen this before, too. I think the dev for the app has slowly started to abandon boost, unfortunately. There are many 6+ month old bugs for Piefed that haven't been fixed. If I could find a maintained and comparable app with Piefed support, I'd probably already be using something else.

If only the dev would open source it, I'm sure the community would do the maintenance on their own.

Edit: actually, summit seems pretty good. Gunna give it a run.
