I have a KIA, it is decent but I would love more freedom ans I sont trust that access will remain free. VW is paid now.

I am in europe and looking to buy in2027.

There's a pretty nicely made HACS module that allows me to scrape my Toyota Prius data and do whatever I want with it in HA. I can even remote start from it, and have an automation that auto starts my car on hot or cold days 15 minutes before the end of my shift.

Big caveats: the remote features are subscription. You get many years for free when you buy new, but mine is actually close to lapsing now and I don't think I'm going to pay for more. I doubt the plugin will continue to work as is one that happens.
