Rules:

- No memes, trolling, misinformation, or low-effort posts/comments (including reposts). If you see posts like this that anger you, do not engage. Report, block, and live a happier life than they do. Any slap-fight is subject to comment removals. Fights full of rule violations will result in temporary bans to cool off.
- No manipulating votes via bots or alt accounts; this will result in permanent bans. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in an account ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be permanently banned.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules and use critical thinking when reading, posting, and commenting. Users that repeatedly have comments or posts removed, weaponize reports, or violate the code of conduct, will be banned.

MODERATORS
Some people will criticize Spanberger for not being an uber progressive due to her CIA background... but, I think she gets more wins than losses. And that's a good thing.
I'd rather have someone actually doing shit, than sitting on their thumbs vomiting empty platitudes. Waiting for perfection will be the death of us all.
Meanwhile in reality Mamdani gets this and five other things done before lunchtime and centrists like Jeffries and Schumer just stay spouting useless platitudes
would we all be so lucky as to have a Mamdani in every seat of power.
And how, tho I have to admit sometimes a Spangenberger will get the job done

Yes, I'm so sick of people demanding Democrats be 100% perfect in every way. If a Republican has one ethical or moral position it's a surprise.
I heard The Professional Left say something that summed up things about trans issues, how they are being talked about and how some people are threatening to sit out based on certain Democrats and it was this:
Even a rather mid Democrat can be pushed in the right direction, even after being in office. Republicans will actively come for you if you are trans. If they gain enough power, they are likely to do even worse than what they are doing right now. And probably come for gay rights nearly right after. That mid Democrat may need to be moved on the "men in women's sports" issue, but at least it's within the realm of possibility.
As a nearly perfect example, they talked about how Obama was not giving support to gay marriage either, and look at how that turned out.
Yes, massive improvement over youngkin. She's a letdown occasionally, but overall I'm proud to say she's my Governor.
