Yeah like every humanities and history prof I had said "and we're seeing the same things in the USA right now" like yeah, they zi it. Not enough people listened.
Just like climate change / global warming.
Subject matter experts have been warning about it for many decades, and have been ignored by policy makers for just as long.
Historians have been warning about the new rise of fascism since the 90s. It was very much seen coming.
Hitler didn't happen in a day either.
