Look at richest country in the ue and the number fall

[-] ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net 1 points 2 weeks ago

Monaco? Wow, that must be like 20.000 people who are against EU. Crazy stuff.

[-] bigmamoth@lemmy.world -2 points 2 weeks ago

U had tow type of county in the eu. The one that give money and the other that get money. Unreal u dont know that. Look at how many country give more than they get.

[-] iglou@programming.dev 5 points 2 weeks ago

Yes, the UK was one of those countries who "give more than they get". Look where they are now. Why? Because the assholes who argued that they "give more than they get" conveniently forgot to mention all the advantages of being in the EU that are not directly money.

Please look further than the arguments of your favorite politician.

[-] bigmamoth@lemmy.world -3 points 2 weeks ago

Mb all country aren't the same, mb u dont have to exit eu to refuse to abide to some treaty. Surely the only island of the union is representative of others

[-] iglou@programming.dev 2 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

The point wasn't about exiting, the point was that the money flows in and out of the EU from your country doesn't matter compared to the advantages of the EU.

In fact, sending money to the EU to support countries that are poorer in the union is beneficial for the countries sending more, because the stronger the union is, the stronger the advantages of being in the union are.

But you're listening to the talking points of politicians who are against the EU and willing to tell only the parts that make people like you angry at the EU.

The energy market. Not all country have the same infrastructure and energy source. If u choose to privilegiate one source over another one u fuck someone. Specially for mine since all the energy politics were chosen by one gouvernement that had one company that was in charge. With the obligation to open for concurrence it fucked the whole energy market in mine cause even if we have 80% nuclear electricity it s indexed on gaz price cause eu wanted it. And now that the gouvernement doesn't have the monopole of selling energy they have the one on producing. So we have fake intermediate that sell the same product as the one that take care of the whole network.

Just one exemple. I thought saying interest diverge by country was explicatif enought

[-] davepleasebehave@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

you are just speaking rubbish buddy.

Which EU country do you live in?

[-] bigmamoth@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Fr or simply the one country that have 80% nuclear. So u kinda dont live in eu are u ? U kinda judging without knowing are u ?

[-] davepleasebehave@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

ohhhhhhh... you are french!

that explains a lot

[-] bigmamoth@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

And you which one ?

[-] Jiral@lemmy.world -1 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Once you can just choose to ignore any law you don't like, laws become meaningless. The treaties are the EU's primary law.

[-] bigmamoth@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago

European treaty work as opt in. It s the default. Not all country follow every eu law.

[-] Jiral@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago

That is just false. A small number of member states has opt outs from specific areas, not treaties. Generally those were negitiated during joining. Obviously such things need unanimous support from all member states. A single member state cab't just choose to ignore this or that toda,.

[-] bigmamoth@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

The opt out is from treaties. That doesn't mean anything from specific area. Where are u from ? Cause your education system failed you. Eu is an economic alliance not a super state where her authorities surpass the one of the country

Look at negotiated opt out. The basis is by treaties and not just when u first join. U can do this on litteraly every treaty

[-] Jiral@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Only 3 out of 27 member states have any opt outs at all: Ireland, Denmark and Poland. Only a single one has an opt out on something that has a status similar ti an EU treaty and tgat is Poland with the Charter of Fundamental Rights. All those opt outs had to be voted by all other member states into power and they are all either result of joining negotioations or were agreed during expansion of EU competences.

There is no general opt-in of EU treaties. It is only that for these 3 member states with existing opt outs that some of those opt outs also have opt in provision.

Guess why those are so rare. Why should every other member state vote for privileging another member state?

So you are saying that the EU is controlled by Germany, yet Germany is the one who has to give? At least get your arguments consistent if you don't want look like someone merely repeating Russia's talking points.

[-] bigmamoth@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago

Look at the eu/us export treaty that got made recently. It s motlsy to save car export toward the us. Now tell me which european car brand u see in the us ? Now tell me which european car brand u never saw in the us or just country that doesn't have that industry.

[-] Jiral@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Cars make up only moderare part of exports to the US, and not all of them are German. Indeed many of the "German" cars are produced all across the EU.

Your argument also does not even touch it how supposedly all controlling Germany ends uo paying the most.

[-] bigmamoth@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago

Produced doesn't mean a lot since the sell only goes to one. Also it s significant part of German export.

[-] Jiral@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

So you claim a considerable part of the Slovak GDP does not exist because the factories are owned by international companies? What a load of nonsense.

[-] bigmamoth@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago

Lmao yeah compare German fdp to Slovak one just to see something. This intentional misunderstanding is ridicule

[-] Jiral@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

There is no misunderstanding. Slovakia being lower income member state does not change anything, the xar induszry has a big stake in the Slovak economy. Standard of living has also considerably improved since joining the EU, to no small degree thanks to the car industry, that employs a lot of people. Slovakia isn't the only country without a big car company HQ. Austria also has a lot of jobs in the car industry, especially in supplier companies.

Before calling others ridicule you should still resolve your conundrum that Germany is supposedly all powerful in the EU, yet its largest net payer.
