I'm a cis male and I believe in the importance of feminism, but I hesitate to call myself a feminist because it seems like there is a presumption of understanding women's experiences as if I was part of the Me Too movement. In some binary sense given how hateful and shitty men can be I'm absolutely a feminist, but I wouldn't declare myself to be one. What is your standpoint?

I'm always hesitant of identifying myself as anything. I don't wanna carry a tag around, cause whenever you do, for some reason you carry the baggage of every idiot or horrible person who also identifies as that tag. I'm a vegetarian, I agree with almost everything vegans say, but damn I'll never associate with that moment cause the crazies there are too crazy.

Also you gotta understand, yeah there are some crazy feminists out there, but Feminism as a whole has become a fight for survival. If they're aggressive or obnoxious, just remember there's a first world country that's threatening their rights. They've already lost their right to abortion, and there's no saying what else they might loose. So even if you don't agree with what modern feminists say, just remember they're somewhere paranoid for their future, and you might be hearing that paranoia, not their unadulterated views on the subject.
