I still cannot get anyone IRL to define “LGBTQ agenda”, or now “transgender ideology”. It’s simple: they don’t know. All they know is that the thing they cannot even describe is taking over schools, colleges, and universities.

Why would I know about that stuff??

Something a coworker said to me recently. I then told him that I cannot discuss politics with someone who debates in ignorance. He couldn’t handle that, and walked away.

Why does education, especially higher-ed, skew liberal? Simple. They encourage critical thought. And when critical thought is applied to identity politics and domestic and foreign policy, empathy tends to creep in—that and reasoning with facts and figures. And we all know that conservatives operate on feelings and emotional arguments. These sorts of things cannot be reasoned with.

Example:

Fact: Crime is lower than it was in the past, as indicated by the feds.

Feeling: Doesn’t matter, because I see stories about crime every day, especially committed by those people.

Fact: Communities and education has become more tolerant and accepting of sexual and gender minorities, which has encouraged more kids to express themselves and has improved mental health outcomes.

Feeling: That’s the democrats pushing their lifestyle on our kids, confusing them with anti-Christian bias.

Fact: Vaccines have reduced the prevalence of certain diseases and infections to all time lows.

Feeling: I don’t see anyone getting these diseases anymore, and I heard that vaccines can cause injury and autism. Why are they pushing for such aggressive schedules of shots? And why is the government mandating them in order for my kid to go to school?
