On any subject where they're told what using this or that product entails in terms of exploitation (ecosystems, animals, humans), most people react as if telling the facts itself is a form of personal attack.

This is so annoying. Sure, sometimes I just want to enjoy a shred of pleasure in this hellscape and not think of bad things and I don't appreciate when people kill the vibe. But I don't take it personally.

That's not a moral judgement, I think it's a cultural difference where in some groups there is a strong implied "and you are a bad person" but for me and people who share this way of communicating, if I don't say that I don't mean it!

I agree awareness is the first step.
