It is on a cold tile floor. Just need to check on the fans from time to time. I put my hand next to the vent it seems to be working. 🤞 Htop and glances are my go to.

Ceramic is an insulator. Not good for keeping things cool. Those tiles will heat up and stay hot along with your laptop.

Laptops are usually designed to vent exhaust heat through the keyboard and hinge vents. You may not want to keep it all the way open, but popping the lid a crack will definitely help. Setting the display to time out and go to sleep might be a better option.

But as long as you keep an eye on it, it should be good.
