Same feeling as the first day of a college semester, when you know every professor is just going to be handing out the syllabus and going over it, along with maybe some introductions, and no actual work will be done or assigned.
Mine definitely assigned readings the first day after going over the syllabus and assignments/exams schedule. A few had assigned readings you were supposed to do before the first class.
Yeah, I had a couple try that. Less than 50% of the class had read it.
Like ... no, lol -- you can't assign me work before the first day of class!
