Yeah, for sure, absolutely. Just got finished listening to Barry's Economics here - spotify who was speaking about a persons inner workings of this process.
He talked about how we have set aside parts of our brain for famous people and have built this narrative picture around them that doesn't necessarily match the person themselves very well, hence the oft stated deflation upon meeting a personal 'hero'.
